RO Feed Spacer – An Essential Part in Reverse Osmosis Process

RO feed spacer is a extruded plastic mesh spacer that acts as a feed spacer between filter media layers in water treatment. It is a kind of FDA-compliant bi-planar PP extruded feed spacer.

It provides channels for the flow of the feed water, and is an essential part of spiral wound membrane (SWM) in reverse osmosis and nanofiltration. Though the spacer material itself can seem fairly low-tech, its role in optimal RP production is critical. It can directly impact the feed pressure, overall energy consumption and membrane fouling degree of the RO system

Features
  • It is a bi-planar structure and forms flow channels among filter media.
  • It can effectively prevent the sediment of minerals, organic matters and inorganic matters on the membrane surface.
