Underground Warning Mesh Protects Underground Facilities During Construction

Underground warning mesh is also known as underground detectable mesh or detectable mesh tape.

It consists of a detectable mesh tape made of high strength colored rot resistant homopolymer polypropylene plastic mesh incorporating a traceable stainless steel wire in the middle and a colored polyethylene tape printed with warning messages. It can be used to mark underground buried facilities, and warning messages on the tape highlights the presence of underground pipes and cables to prevent workers from damaging utility pipes and cables during construction excavations. Warning nets of different colors can be used to warn of the presence of buried service lines, such as water pipes in blue, gas pipes and cables in yellow, and sewers and fuel pipes in red.
